Dr. Alexei (Alex) Mizin DMD
Dr. Alexei Mizin received the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree cum laude at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and surgical training at Highland Hospital and University of the Pacific.
Dr. Mizin has an outstanding reputation for expertise in implant dentistry, bone grafting and oral surgeries. Additionally, he has the rare privilege of performing facial cosmetic and rejuvenation surgery – as one of a few oral surgeons in California with the appropriate training, experience and licensing credentials.
As an attending surgeon, Dr. Mizin practices at West Hills Hospital and Dignity Health Northridge Hospital. A published author, his review on bone grafting procedures appears in the American Journal of Prosthodontics, and several research abstracts have been published in dental and scientific literature.
Dr. Mizin formerly taught oral surgery, implant dentistry and bone grafting techniques at the University of the Pacific and UCLA Dental School. He is an active member of the American and California Dental Associations, American and California Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, and San Fernando Valley Dental Society, and is accredited by the California Dental Board as a continuing dental education provider.
Dr. Mizin is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. As part of his military service he provides dental surgical care to our troops and their families. He also travels worldwide volunteering cleft palate and other facial deformities surgeries to children in need.
